Shadowrun - The Rat's Nest
North of Rat’s Nest near the small town of Monroe passes the Skykomish River that comes down from the clean part of the Cascades from the NAN nation of Salish-Sidhe. The water is crystal clear up to the point where it mixes with the acid stream of the Snoqualmie River that is meandering through the bad lands of the Redmond Barrens.
Some of the water of this river finds itss way down into the Crescent Lake south, where the Rat’s Nest is getting its water for the Bathhouse from and some of the drinking water. Still the water in the Crescent Lake isn’t that guaranteed clean for it’s not meant as a drinking water reservoir and you do well to use water from mineral bottles for cooking and drinking in the Nest.
Well, there’s a Clinic in the Nest if you find yourself barfing from the water. The Doc checked it, it’s fine for bathing and washing though and maybe if you cook the water it shouldn’t be polluted too bad. Still some of the crap in Snoqualmie River may have found its way to the Crimson Lake in spring, where its bursting the banks and floods most of the lower parts of the area.
